Hiding filed messages on Exchange

This tip was generated on XP and Office 2003.

When messages are "dragged and dropped" to offline folder destinations, they still show in the BlackBerry inbox. If you wish to remove the items so that they do not show up on the BlackBerry, you will need to perform the following steps:

  • Use the right mouse button to drag the message(s) to your desired offline folder
  • Select "Copy" from the contextual menu
  • Delete the messages from the original folder
  • You should no longer see the messages on your BlackBerry
