Group accounts and Kerberos

This article details the method used to access Pobox group accounts using Kerberos credentials.
These instructions assume that the group account has already been created. Once created, for additional individuals to be able to access the account using Kerberos credentials, follow the documentation that describes creating a .k5login file

Webmail
- Log in to Pobox webmail, and enter your PennKey and password at the initial screen.
- At the following screen, substitute your PennKey name with the name of the group account and click Login.
- You should now have access to the email in the account.
FTP
FileZilla
- Make sure that you have a valid Kerberos ticket.
- Assuming that you already have FileZilla installed, ensure that Filezilla has GSS support enabled, with upenn.edu added as an approved server. See the following link for details.
- Once complete, create a new site, using plain FTP, but put in the group account name for the username (leave the password blank).
- You should then be able to connect to the group account using your Kerberos credentials and FileZilla.
Fetch
- Make sure that you have a valid Kerberos ticket.
- Assuming that you already have Fetch installed ensure that Fetch has GSSAPI support enabled, with upenn.edu added as an approved server. See the following link for details.
- Once complete, create a new site, using plain FTP, but put in the group account name for the username (leave the password blank).
- You should then be able to connect to the group account using your Kerberos credentials and Fetch.
