Introduction
This page is meant to capture the various documentation efforts underway for ISC's Zimbra server, the next generation Pobox replacement.
Configuration of Email clients
- Thunderbird Basic instructions for Windows are available here
- Apple Mail
- Zimbra connector for Outlook Outlook 2003/2007 using the ZCO connector (Windows Only, currently version 5.07)
Configuration of Calendar clients
- Lightning (integration with Thunderbird for Mac and Windows)
- Sunbird (standalone calendar)
- iCal for Zimbra (support for iCal 3.0.2 for Mac OS 10.5 and above)
- Outlook using the ZCO connector (Windows XP/Vista only)
- iSync for Zimbra (System Preference pane to enable Mac OS contacts and calendar synchronization with Zimbra; Mac OS 10.4 and above)
Handhelds
Prior to configuring the devices below, users must perform the following steps:
- Sign the terms of service for PDA devices
- Have their LSP open a Remedy ticket with the Provider Desk to request that Active Sync be enabled for the user's account.
- The Provider Desk has a web intake form to make submission easier:

Once these steps are completed, the user account is now prepared to synchronize with the devices listed below
Over The Air (OTA) Synchronization
Details about over the air (OTA) synchronization support for:
- Palm using the VersaMail with EAS
- Windows Mobile 5 and 6
- iPhone
- At present, there is no support for direct synchronization of BlackBerry devices. Zimbra will be releasing a feature upgrade late in the year, which should provide BlackBerry Enterpise Server (BES) synchronization functionality with BlackBerry devices. Watch for an announcement from N&T regarding this update.
Desktop Synchronization - there is not any type of desktop sync available. All synchronization happens over-the-air (OTA)
For devices that that support HTML / JavaScript can access the Zimbra server directly to view email, contacts, and calendar. You can compose messages as well as view folders and tags. Zimbra search is also included. Zimbra has more details about this product known as ZimbraME (Mobile Edition).

Migration
The links to resources below are only for preliminary migration information. Final word on how data should be migrated prior to the production release has not yet been determined. Testers should be aware that the information presented below is only to aid individual testers during the pilot phase and are NOT necessarily the recommended methods to be used during production.

- There is not currently a way to migrate Meeting Maker data directly to Zimbra. We may be able to modify the Exchange calendar migration strategies.

At this point, you can only change your Zimbra password at this screen, or log into the Collaboration suite web client. As more features are added, we will revise these instructions.
