Hey all,
I've been messing with reorganizing the wiki's main page and category structure. The proposed change to the page is located here:
http://prowiki.isc-csg.upenn.edu:16080/index.php/Sandbox
Please take a look at the formatting and proposed new category divisions and let me know what you think in the Discussion tab of the Sandbox Page - that way we can easily track comments, and use the page as a punchlist.
Once we're all satisfied with the format and structure, I'll work on re-categorizing all the pages, and will replace the main page at that point.

Please call out the Apple stuff as Mac OS Desktop and Derver to be consistant with Windows.(lazenka)

Hey Bob,
I like the ability to search by alphabetical listing. One small complaint. If I select "B", I see a long list of articles starting with "B" and then continuing for the remainder of the alphabet. Not a big deal, but is there any way to limit search results to the selected letter? (lazenka)
Not easily. I'm looking into it, but the other alternative would be to just pull the alphabetical links, and just leave a link to the All Pages page, and let LSP's search for themselves--Bob DeSilets 16:25, 23 February 2006 (EST)

Bob, I like the division of the catagories in boxes; makes for a clean and navagable page structure. Much simpler than the original main page. -RS

Hi Bob, I still think that the alphabet listing is too prominent and large. Any way to tone it down a bit? I doubt I get a cookie for that one. Amy

Categorization
Ok, since we've come to a kind of steady state on the question of formatting, I've started to categorize the sections below (and their subsections) in preparation to recategorize all the articles and move this sandbox to the Main Page.
